How many phases are there?????

I thought all the baby phases were enough. Atleast they are cute and exciting! The toddler/preschool phases are not as much fun!!! We are almost through the nightmare phase... staying up late afraid to sleep, sleeping with every light and nightlight on, etc. I would have thought he was making it up except for the fact that he screams and cries every night in his sleep. I think this has played a part in the crybaby phase. I am about to loose my mind with the constant whining and crying. And the only advice I get is that "it is just a phase" So back to my question... how many phases are there????
